Waymark

The Waymark team first came together to develop an interpretation and engagement strategy during the development phase of one of the earlier HLF-funded projects - The Churnet Valley Living Landscape Partnership. We conducted primary research and public engagement to inform the winning bid. 

To support public engagement in a way that worked for this particular area, we created an identity for the project and assisted project partners to integrate this into their own communications.

Steve wears numerous hats and is heavily involved as a volunteer in many restoration groups, including Caldon & Uttoxeter Canal Trust who successfully bid for funds to restore and protect the last remaining bridge on the disused Uttoxeter Canal.

This has been a huge project that involved working with a number of statutory and community organisations and private companies. Steve's strategic thinking, negotiation skills and volunteer management skills were put to good use.
